I love this gorgeous outdoor kitchen design made from beautiful redwood. It has space for an outdoor refrigerator, a hidden pizza oven, storage for cooking tools, and even a seating area.
Old Dresser & Shutters Turned Outdoor Grilling Station
This idea is genius! They took an old dresser, shutters, and some barn wood and turned it into a grill station.
After removing some of the dresser drawers, they were able to create a functional space on the inside where they keep their portable grill. Then they just move it up top when they are ready to cook.
DIY Outdoor Kitchen Island on Wheels
Adding wheels to the bottom of your outdoor kitchen island is a great solution to make it portable in your backyard. This one features a countertop and serving space and even has enough room for three barstools to sit.
They usually keep it under their pergola so they can enjoy it all year round. That’s a great idea to extend your grilling seasons.
Wood Framed Outdoor Kitchen with Sink and Refrigerator
This outdoor kitchen was built right outside of the back door on the patio for less than $500. Because they decided to add a sink, the location of their outdoor kitchen was determined based on their existing water lines. They positioned the kitchen right against the house on the opposite wall of a bathroom so they could tie into those plumbing lines. Although this one doesn’t directly incorporate a grill, it does provide a nice work surface to prep for grilling. They mentioned in their article that they later incorporated a portable Blackstone griddle next to it, which sounds great!
Amazing Outdoor Kitchen Setup
Chris and Julia call this setup the outdoor kitchen of their dreams and I can totally see why! It has a gas grill along with a pellet grill & smoker (with a rotisserie), AND a flattop grill. With all three options, you can get just the right grill for your recipe.
There’s also a power burner so you can prepare your whole meal out here. To finish things off, there’s an outdoor sink, fridge, ice machine, and trash drawer.
See what I mean about the outdoor kitchen of your dreams? Heck, this setup is even more luxurious than my indoor kitchen!
Stone Veneer Grill Station
I love this outdoor grill station that is really just stone attached directly to their grill, which was already on wheels. This is a great option if you don’t want something stationary due to space constraints.
They built a wood frame for each bottom corner of the grill and then added metal sheets and covered them with stone veneer. Totally fancy, but on a budget!
Modular Outdoor Kitchen Kit That Can Be Built In One Day
If you have big goals for your outdoor kitchen, but need it built quickly, this idea is for you! They were able to build this outdoor kitchen in just ONE day!
Using a modular cabinet system is a great way to get your DIY project done fast. It incorporates a grill, outdoor fridge, pull-out trash can, and lots of storage. There’s plenty of cooking space in this setup.
Paver Pad for your Grill
Sometimes all you need for your outdoor grill area is a nice pad for your grill to set on. They created this pretty pad with pavers and it looks great.
Wooden Outdoor Kitchen with Slat Cabinet Doors
This DIY outdoor kitchen is gorgeous, isn’t it? I especially love the slat doors. She had a genius idea to install plexiglass behind the slats to prevent bugs from getting in. I love that idea for outdoor use.
Outdoor Kitchen with Roof
This outdoor kitchen area has spots for a griddle and a smoker. What more could you need?
I love that they decided to put it underneath an outdoor kitchen roof. That definitely will help prolong the lifespan of your grill and prevent any water damage.
Outdoor Kitchen with Stucco and Granite Countertop
They had their Traeger smoker grill for a while and had always wanted to build an outdoor kitchen around the grill.
All it took was a little bit of planning, materials, and time to make it happen! The base of the kitchen is made with cinder blocks, so it is super strong! They applied stucco over the bricks for a nice aesthetic.
Since they added plumbing and electrical to the kitchen, they had to hire a professional for that part – which ended up costing quite a bit in labor costs. But if you had the skills and time you could totally DIY this whole thing for a fraction of the cost.
DIY Outdoor Kitchen with Gas Grill
The base of this custom design was created with metal studs and cement boards. Then they incorporated a gas BBQ grill and fridge. Cedar boards and paint finish it up and make it match the exterior of their home perfectly!
Outdoor Kitchen with Countertop, Storage, and Fridge
They already had a grill on their patio, so they didn’t incorporate that into their build. Instead, they built a countertop, countertop and added a fridge just opposite the grill. This gave them a ton of prep space to really take their outdoor kitchen to the next level.
Rolling Outdoor Kitchen Island
They wanted to be able to take their outdoor kitchen with them when they moved, so they put the outdoor kitchen island on wheels so it was totally portable. This is also a good idea if you want to be able to move your kitchen around to avoid harsh weather conditions or chase the shade in your backyard.
Kitchen Island with Built-In Grill and Butcher Block Counter
Absolutely love the look of this modern outdoor kitchen with a prep station, grill, storage, and a butcher block countertop. By painting it black, they were able to contrast the light wood of the rest of their backyard.
