When you should send out Save the Dates?
Shutterfly says that save the dates should be sent out 4-6 months before the wedding (6-8 months if it’s a destination wedding). Formal invitations are to be sent 8 weeks prior to the wedding.
Can we send out the Save the Date announcement via email?
Yes, totally! I think this is a great way to save some money on your wedding budget.
What information should we include on our Save the Dates?
Definitely your name, wedding date, and location (just the city is fine if you haven’t locked down your venue yet). It’s nice to include a note that there is more info coming like formal invitation to follow up. You can also mention your wedding website if you have one.
