If there’s something that I dread around the house, it’s going through all of the mail. Oh wait… maybe it’s the dishes. Or the laundry.
Ok, maybe there are a few things that I dread! 🙂
But I hate all of the paper clutter that comes along with the daily check of the mailbox. Even though we’ve switched most of the bills and statements to paperless, I’m still shocked by the amount of mail we receive every day.
One thing that can definitely make your life easier with all of that paper clutter is a DIY mail organizer. If you’re looking to get organized and clear some of that clutter out of your life and home, you’re going to want to make one of these fun mail organizers!

Upcycled Thrift Store Mail Holder
Sometimes all you need is a simple place to put your mail and this DIY mail organizer is just that! I love this thrift store makeover. She found this old wooden box, probably from the 1970s and it was seriously a diamond in the rough. It was the perfect size for a DIY mail organizer. With a little love and paint, it turned out so cute! This would be great in a family command center setup.
Magnetized Mail Holder DIY
This DIY magnetized mail organizer is a super quick (and cute) way to organize mail and keep all your important papers (like pizza coupons) in one spot without taking up any counter space. Since it is magnetic, you simply put it on the side of your refrigerator. When this DIY blogger was planning her DIY mail organizer, she opted for a smaller system that would still keep the papers together but would force her to keep only the important items and clean them out more often. Such a great tip!
Wall Mounted Mail Organizer...from scrap wood!
Instead of dealing with the ugly pile of mail that was always on the counter, this DIY enthusiast made this wall-mounted mail organizer from scrap wood and metal baskets. So genius, right? She decided on 4 categories to organize her mail - “Incoming” for papers and mail that were just brought inside and haven’t been sorted yet, “Due 1-15” for bills due during the first half of the month, “Due 16-31” for bills due during the last half of the month, and “To File” for papers that need to be filed. Everything has its place!

Every home or home office has a dumping ground for bills, incoming mail, and just stuff! Make this DIY wall-mounted file organizer and help eliminate that hot mess lying around your kitchen counters, dining table, and desk.
Build a DIY Wall Mail Sorter
In an effort to somehow organize the massive amounts of mail that get delivered each day, and eliminate the piles that used to sit on their kitchen counter, this DIY builder designed and built this handy sorting station in just a few hours. The best part is she’s sharing the detailed plans with a cut list/measurements so you can make one too!
DIY Mail Holder
Use resin to create a unique DIY mail holder that can easily be customized to fit the style of your home office!
